The Never Ending All-Game Adventure

(So as to avoid weirdness, just call me Diesel 11.)

One day, a man walked up to Diesel 11, who was sitting at the bar, talking with some friends.

Pause*

Is this modern day or another time period?

Anything you like, but I suppose modern-day.

(Since we're starting in a bar, I'm presuming here we are all in our mid-late 20s/early 30s)

Ok, back to the bar.

Diesel 11 said to the man "can I help you?"

The man said he was interested in a business deal, and wanted to make an appointment to talk to him.

In the same bar, another man walked in.  A quiet man, he wasn't exactly the kind of guy you'd expect to find in a bar.

He took his favorite seat; the third stool from the right at the bar.  It gave him a good view of the TV without needing to turn around or look over something.

Daniel, the bartender for this section, came over to the man.

"Can I see your ID?"  He asked the quiet man.

"Really Daniel; do we have to do this every time I come here?"

"Sorry Frank, but you know the rules; if you look under 21 I gotta check."

"I'm 28 for heaven's sake."  Frank said as he pulled out his wallet.

"All right, what'll it be today."

"Mozzarella sticks to start."  Frank said as he pulled out a notebook.

"Didn't like the Mac and cheese balls last time?"  Daniel asked

"I liked them; just feel like going back to basics today."

"Fair enough.  Main meal?"

"BBQ burger; you know how I like it."  Frank said politely

"Bacon, cheddar cheese, onion rings, BBQ sauce, well done; side of fries?"  Frank gave a thumbs up.

"Drink?"

"Water, no ice please."  Frank asked

"Every time; you know, I'm going to get you to order a drink one day frank."

Frank laughed "you know I gotta drive home."

Daniel then went to put in the order.  "You know, you should meet those guys over there; you and them are the most frequent customers around here" Daniel said, pointing to Diesel 11's group.

"Well, I do come three times a week."  Frank replied.  Daniel went to put the order in.

Frank looked over at diesel 11's group; he wanted to meet them... But he didn't want to lose his spot.

Meanwhile, after Diesel 11 guzzled down a couple drinks (and wasn't at all drunk; he'd even gotten the Q Award at college [quantity & quality]), he decided to get away from the man he was trying to talk him into buying a new car (as if he needed it). He walked over to Frank, who looked like he'd want some company, and sat down.

Suddenly, a sinister figure walked into the bar. He had long blonde hair, and wore a long black cloak with the word "Toz" emblazoned on it in purple. All the patrons turned and stared. He strode purposefully up to the bar... and tripped over his cloak.

"Dang it!" He exclaimed, getting back onto his feet.

Diesel 11 turned back around and sat down by Frank. "Hello," he said, "What's your name?"

"I'm Frank."  I said to Diesel 11.  "So Daniel was telling me you and your friends come around here a lot?"  Frank asked

"Yeah, we do. Although, they aren't my friends. They're people who just want to hang out with me. Why? I don't know."

"I'm guessing you just have that kind of personality that attracts people."  Frank said.

Frank, wanting to keep the conversation going, then asked "so... Do you work around here?"

"Well, not really. I'm a multi-trillionaire, which I became through stocks and companies, and so I don't really have to work. I do live here, though."

Toz, wanting to retain some dignity, sat down next to Frank and Diesel 11.

"So." He said, hoping someone would continue the conversation.

"Who are you?" asked Diesel 11.

"I'm Toz."

"Good to meet you Toz."

"So diesel 11, you're a multi-trillionaire?"  Frank asked

"Indeed."

"Man, some guys are so lucky."  Frank said.

"Well, what do you do?"  Diesel 11 asked.

"I guess you can call me the modern renaissance man."  Frank said.  "I am a writer, a blogger and a handyman.  I've been working on a book series for the last two years; no publisher has picked it up yet though. I run a website "historyisfun.com" where I take various historical events and talk about them in a way that is both interesting and interactive.  And in the apartment building where I live, I know how to fix things, so people usually ask me to help out with problems here and there."  Frank finished.

"That sounds nice," said Diesel 11, "Can I see your book?"

"Well, I suppose; but it's not quite finished."

Frank took out a manuscript

"What's it about?"  Diesel 11 asked

"Well, I have a fascination with history.  And with so many different kinds of warriors, I thought "what if they all existed at the same time? What if a spartan could fight a ninja?  What if a samurai could fight a Viking?  And modern warriors too.  

So as a point of relation, the story is about a young guy from a small country similar to a 21st century industrial state.  Naturally They believe that all other races are obsolete and seek to conquer them by asserting their technological authority over others.  The story covers various viewpoints; and I'm trying to be as accurate as possible."  Frank said
"Problem is, I've been rejected by nine publishers."  Frank finished

Diesel 11, one of the fastest readers ever, had finished the book before Frank finished, but Frank didn't know that. "It wasn't interesting, was it?"
"No, it was great!"
"But you didn't read the whole thing."
"No, I did, and with your permission, I'd like to publish it."
Frank gaped. "Really?"
"Really."
"Well then...

I need more time; it's not finished yet."  Frank asked

"Your mozzarella sticks" Daniel said as he came over

"Thanks Daniel."  Frank said as Diesel 11 thought about frank's request.

Toz suddenly left as quickly as he came, he had to visit his aunt.

(Goodbye!)

"Oh, Daniel, I'll take a beer, and a cheeseburger."
"Sure thing."
"Would you care for anything?" asked Diesel 11 to Frank. "Like a beer?"

"Thanks, but I gotta drive."  Frank said as he picked up his first mozzarella stick.

"Burger wil be out in 10."  Daniel said

"Thanks!" Frank replied.  Then turned back to diesel 11

"You ever try the chicken wings?  With 25 sauces, you always gotta come back and try another." Frank mentioned.

"Really? No, I haven't. Shall I order some for us?"

"If you'd like some; the honey BBQ is amazing, but that's just my favorite."

Frank proceeded to enjoy his mozzarella sticks; he would offer some to Diesel 11, but would a multi-trillionaire enjoy such simple food?  Was this a man of high tastes?  He didn't want to disgust him.

"Bartender! I think I'll take a thing of honey BBQ wings...........and some mozzarella sticks. They are really good," he said to Frank, "and I'd come here to get some myself, but forgot."

So they talked for a while.  Then at last

"Hey Frank; your burger."

"Thanks Daniel."  They stopped talking for a while to eat.
