1 Sentence Story

This game is like The Story Game, 3 Word Story, and 1 Word Story. Here, you post 1 sentence, and the next one adds to it with 1 sentence, and so forth.

To start:

If you were to tell Josephine Williamson when her son was young that her dear boy would one day be languishing in jail, she would have called you plain crazy.

But after robbing a bank, he'll be spending the next ten years in the slammer.

And now, his siblings are very furious.

They decided to kill the police.

Why they would go to such extreme measures, I don't know.

(Please be careful, if it sounds like you're actually plotting to do so, the FBI will think you are. I don't want this site shut down!)

(No, of course I'm not. It's just for the story!)

Eventually they changed their minds.

(I know, I'm just paranoid )

Josephine was now old, but her wit was as sharp as ever.

She knew she couldn't let her son be hung, even if he had blackmailed, cheated, and murdered.

Fortunately, he had merely robbed a bank, and the death penalty had been abolished years ago anyway.

But the evil president had put it back into circulation.

Now her son was very nervous... Extremely nervous... So much so that he felt the need to just shut out the rest of the world in order to keep calm; as he waited for what would come he spent hours doing the only thing that relaxed him... Sitting down with a bucket on his head.

(Sorry this sentence is so long; but I kept ending on a preposition)

Unfortunately, it was the bucket he was using as a toilet.

He eventually got up.

He paced the cell, reflecting on the incident three years ago that had landed him there...

It had all started when he stole an orange.

He had been in the seventh grade, in the lunch line, when he saw that they had run out of them.

So he grabbed one from the nearest person, and, well, all his other crimes just came up from that first.

Things really got started when he met Robby.

Robby was the kind of guy who could make you feel like a million dollars, and then stab you in the back... literally.

He was known as "rubber blade Robbie Reyes" for his rubber knife he always carried with him; though harmless many thought the rubber blade was real

The two met at prom (their dates were friends), and commited their first crime that very night.

They killed their dates.

With laughter, because as it turns out rubber knives and hot dog tongs do not make good weapons.

Someone notified the police of strange laughter, and they found the bodies the next morning, but the murderers had already fled.

But then the police were notified the next morning of two bodies supposedly coming back to life; after all rubber knives and hot dog tongs don't make good weapons
