Sodor Roleplay

Suddenly, Diesel 10 moved, swung, and hit the track. Then he started his engine (how he could still move no one knew). He picked up his claw.

Diesel 10: I'm not going to be sent back. I can help and *behave myself, but I will not go back!!

(Where is Diesel 10? Simply curious.)

(On the track [somehow].)

(Near Toby? Alright.)
Toby shudders.
"Hm. What do you mean, 'sent back'?"

(I think he might still  be on the cranes, but I'm not sure.)

Henry was passing by on his way to the docks when he ran into Thomas again; he was still watching everything.

"Thomas, what's going on?"

A workman was screaming "I said on the flat car, THE FLATCAR!"

(No, he swung onto the track.)

Diesel 10: Goodbye!

And he roared away.

Toby decided to follow him, considering he was not required for a small while. He quietly puffed along.

Henry and Thomas gasped at what just happened

"So apparently the sludge didn't mess up his engine."  Henry said to Thomas.

(Hey guys, let's give TGC a chance to reply; he is Thomas after all.)

(Yeah, because I can't be on from 9 to 3)

"Yeah, although I do think that the sludge will have some effect soon, it just makes no sense, just like everything else that happened today."

Henry checked the signal before talking to Thomas again

" it looks like I have a red signal at the moment; how have you been after everything that's happened?"

"Quite tired, yes very tired, running from a worship with a mechanical hand is hard work"

Henry's signal than changed 

"Maybe you should ask driver to take you back to the shed; in the mean time I gotta get to Brendham; there's a mixed goods train I gotta take to Vicarstown.  Bye Thomas!"  Henry said as he steamed away

(I'm assuming you will cover for your own driver and fireman)

Thomas: "Thanks Henry, Driver, is there time for me to have a rest?"

Driver: "Yes I think there is, I need a rest myself"

(Yes, we cover for our crews as well.  So Thomas, his driver and fireman, and depending on the circumstances, his conductor, and minor characters that are not controlled by others)

Henry just barely made out Thomas heading back to his shed as he headed to Brendham.  "I wonder if he's gonna head to Tidmouth sheds, or that three engine shed he, Toby and Percy share from time to time?"  Henry thought as he began picking up speed.

(Pause: William Shakespeare earlier hinted at the Star Tugs. I like the idea; All in favor of our special guest stars?)

(Yes! But I think someone else should be Ten Cents and not me, having 2 main characters (Ten Cents is the most featured character so I call him the main character even though there is no official main character) so I would have to choose Top Hat, or is assigning roles getting too big, the stars are guests after all)

Thomas arrived at Ffarquar sheds, it was getting dark out and as soon as he backed in he fell asleep, but a certain diesel was watching,

(D10, here is your cue)

(I can add them soon into the roleplay. Possibly when the engines must work at the docks?)
(I will, however, seize OJ in advance.)

Toby has arrived at Diesel 10's location - But masks himself behind a line of tankers.

(Hold on, I'll just introduce our guest stars in case anyone here isn't really familiar with Tugs)

Henry arrived at Brendham docks,  His mixed goods train was 20 cars long, not counting the brakevan.  But for an engine like Henry, it was not an issue.  To his surprise, he saw tugboats in the harbor... but Brendham never had tugboats before!  Nearby was a docked paddlewheel tug.  Henry had about 20 minutes, so he struck up a conversation
"Hello there, you new to Sodor?"

The old ship turned to Henry "Ah, hello there.  Yes indeed.  Our last owner passed away so we now work here.  I'm O.J. the harbor tug."

"Pleased to meet you; I'm Henry, I take freight trains out of here from time to time.  Are you the only one?"

"Far from it, oh look, here comes some of my friends right now."

Two smaller tugs were bringing in a fuel barge. "These fellows there are Ten Cents and Sunshine, they are what we call "Switchers" in the business."  A little further out, a tug that was somehow wearing a top hat and monicle was bringing railroad barges to the Isle of Mann

"That over there is Top Hat, the railway tug, and those are his railway barges Frank and Eddie."

"About time we had a way to get to the Isle of Mann" Henry said.

A bigger tug came in pulling a load of steel "Got steel for the 3:30 freight train out of here."  The tug yelled

"Hey, that's my train!"  Henry yelled

"Ah, you must be one of the engines that work here; names Big Mac.   I see you've met my fellow harbor tug O.J."

"Indeed I have.  Hey! Watch out!"

But it was too late... another harbor tug bumped into Big Mac's barge.  Thankfully nothing capsized

"Warrior! You nearly made me spill my load!"

"Sorry Big Mac!" the smaller tug said, he was pulling a garbage barge

"Oh hello there.  You another Harbor tug?"  Henry asked

"Yup.  I'm Warrior.  I see you've met my brother Big Mac.  And this garbage barge here is Lord Stinker."

Henry looked at Lord Stinker suspiciously... the engines on Sodor didn't really like barges because of Bulstrode.  Though the rumor was he was going to be repaired.

Then Henry saw bubbles in the water.  "Ah! A monster!"  Suddenly a big metal fish surfaced, and Henry was sprayed in the face!  The fish turned out to be a submarine.  "Sorry about that, once it comes out I can never tell where its gonna go."  He said kindly  "I'm Grampus, the submarine.  You must be one of the engines our new owner told us about?"

"Yes, I'm Henry.  At least you are more polite than that elephant"  Henry said

"What?"  The tugs and Grampus asked

"Nevermind.  Nice to meet you."

In the distance, Henry saw the biggest Tug of all coming in, and a weird looking red ship heading out

"Hello everyone, what did I miss?"  The large tug asked as he came in.

"Not much, we are just talking to Henry.  He's the first engine we've met here."  The large Tug looked to him "Ah, hello old chap.  I'm Hercules, the ocean tug.  That red ship you just saw leaving is Lillie, the lightship."

"lightship?"  Henry asked, confused

"Yes, they're obsolete now; but harbormaster isn't convinced those new buoys are any good, so he's giving her a chance."

Another, flat looking tug was coming in.  It's barge said "Danger" right across it.  "Hey guys, what did I miss?"

"Shoepack! Get away from us with that dynamite!"  O.J. said, forcing the alligator tug to head away from them

"That's Billy Shoepack.  He's a nice fellow, but his loads are just so dangerous."  O.J.  explained

Henry was impressed with the layout.  "there sure are a lot of you."

"I think you've met everyone except Burke and Blair" O.J. said.

"Burke and Blair?"

"Trust me, you don't want to know" Big Mac said blankly.  Henry was told his train was ready, so he had to go  "Well it was nice meeting you; enjoy the rest of your stay on Sodor!"

meanwhile, Sir Topham Hatt came to Ffarquhar sheds.

"Thomas, you've earned a rest.  but tomorrow I need you to take some Ffarquhar stone to Brendham; I know this is last minute, but no other engines are available."  Hatt explained

(Gives Thomas a chance to interact with the tugs.)

On the other side of the island, Diana was hard at work bringing supplies to the Big Dipper. As she passed Rainbow Ridge, she saw a steamroller approaching. [Cue George]

So, may I be OJ?

Sure; I can't decide between Grampus and Warrior at the moment.

(I really can't incorporate Henry into the George set up, so I'm gonna use minor, secondary characters to fill the cap)

Some workmen observed George

"ugh, that blasted steamroller again." an older one said, annoyed

"I'd gladly give up up my pay for the year just to have a nicer steamroller work with us." Said another

"Heck, a whole pack of nice road vehicles would be nice" a third said.

George was his usual self that day

"Railways are no good, tear them up! Turn them into roads."

The next day Thomas was taking the stone to Brendam, when he arrived, Top Hat was waiting for the stone trucks, but then he saw bubbles. Grampus shot up, but Thomas was fast enough to dodge the water, although bumping the trucks, "hello, I'm Thomas, who are you?" Thomas said, surprised to say the least, "I'm Top Hat, and the rail barges are Frank and Eddie" Top Hat replied "took the words out of our mouths eh Frank?" Eddie whispered to Frank. "Oh and I'm Grampus" the submarine said, but soon the trucks were loaded onto Frank and Eddie, but when Top hat tried to leave the trucks pushed themselves onto the dock and into Cranky, "Watch it!" Cranky said, Diesel 10 then arrived...

He hid behind some trucks, waiting for the right moment to make a move.

Henry was told to take another mixed goods train to Vicarstown. All he knew was it was mostly building materials, and he overheard a builder talking about an experimental "elevating turntable."

"It'll never work" Henry said as he waited for his train to be prepared

(I'll give up my role as Orange Juice. ((OJ.)) )

Toby, noting the rusted water tower beside Diesel, loudly rings his bell and rattles his sideplates.
