Ask the Historical Figures

Post by Winston Churchill on Fri Jul 24, 2015 1:39 am

What do I love even more than Thomas the Tank Engine? History. Why not an 'Ask the' about historical figures?

Here, we ask the historical figures revered about the world! (Who have seemingly formed a group fighting evil.)
(If you have any people you wish for me to add, inform me!)

Jesus Christ - Some say He is the savior of humanity, others say he was a wise moral teacher - Love Him, hate him, it's Jesus Christ!
perpetually wise, devout, and kind, he can be considered the leader of this group. He is always willing to help the others.
Julius Caesar - A brilliant Roman leader and tactician, known for his tragic murder. He can be a bit grumpy and stern, but truly cares for the others.
William Shakespeare - A genius poet, he is revered as one of (If not the) greatest writers of all time. Wise, intelligent, and polite, he is flamboyant, and wraps his words in eloquence.
Alexander the Great - Like Julius, a brilliant leader - But a bit short-tempered and ready to explore.
Abraham Lincoln - One of the most recognizable presidents of the United States. Kind, and serves as a mediator to some of the unruly members.
Mark Twain - Revered as the Father of American Literature, and sometimes ranked alongside Shakespeare. His wisdom combined with his laid-back, amiable personality makes him a friend to all. Close friends with Jesus, Shakespeare, and Lincoln.
Napoleon Bonaparte - Brilliant (Though rather overconfident) French leader. Short-tempered, and is the 'renegade' of the gang - Attempting to fight the others, but to no avail.
Winston Churchill - He'sh a wishe Bri'ish leader, and Proime Minishter. (My most sincere apologies.) A kind man (With strong words), he gets along well with...
King Arthur - Whether a myth or a Dark-Age warrior, this man tries his best to keep invaders (Evil) from seizing (Attacking the group) his homeland (The group, again).
Sir Isaac Newton - The famous scientist - He's respectable, sagacious, and does not let his reputation get to his head.

Ask away.

Jesus - What was it like to take on the sins of the world?

Jesus - I'll say this - Simply because you are the child of God/God at the same time, does not mean the task will be easy. Not in the sense of it was hard to complete, but being hung on a cross is painful, regardless of divinity, I'm sure you'd imagine.

So, Mark Twain, did you add the "anyone trying to find a plot will be shot" bit to Huckleberry Finn, or was that the publishers?

Mark Twain - It was my idea. Not only had the Civil War been over for a comparatively short time, (Which could cause uproar about a Black protagonist) but it was laden with slang. So, I tried to appease the people. But, some seem to overlook the fact that I was against slavery and mistreatment of Africans (Why I wrote the book).

Lincoln- some accuse you of not having written the Bixby letter; what do you say to that?

Shakespeare- Don't you think that was a bit rude, leaving your wife your "second best bed?"

Newton- uh, forget that last question; probably a door better left closed

Instead- did you really get hit in the head with an apple?

Winston Churchill- how can you call it the "miracle at Dunkirk" when the soldiers had to leave behind most of their equipment?

Edit- I'm a huge history buff, and WWII is only of my favorite eras.  It's quite fascinating just how much happened, and the miracle of Dunkirk is no exception
