How did Diesel 10 crash? He was going to fast, came to close to the docks, and went over the side into a barge. Luckily, a little rope fixed things; they pulled him right out, and he was none the worse for it.

"Mm, after it was repaired. How horrendous." Top Hat murmured.

Suddenly, up ran a workman. "Diana is heading for the broken bridge on the opposite side! She's already passed the last signal and there's no sidings to divert her into!"

Diana steamed cheerfully through the countryside, having decided D10 was long gone.

Just then, he appeared.

A worker with a flag waved down Diana; and thanks to Sodor physics, Diana stopped rather quickly. "It's not safe!"  The workman yelled

Diesel 10 hit the breaks, and saved himself.

Toby exhaled.
"Excellent. We cannot stand losing anymore locomotives."

"I formulated the roleplay, you scullion, rampallian! Of course I know how I got here!"

Toby shunts away the crane into the siding (The damage to the bridge was minimal, it was able to be completed within the day), and steams away with Henrietta to the sheds. He sees Thomas along the way.

Meanwhile, Henry was in the works; his brake lines were getting repaired

Diesel 10 was impatient.

(Where is Diesel?)

He had been waiting at the Coaling Plant for hours, and he was getting restless.

After Henry was repaired, he headed to the coaling plant to refuel

"Huh, what's a diesel doing at a coaling plant?"

Toby had arrived as well - he was a frequent visitor, taking coal from mines to plants to stations.

"Greetings, Henry. Hullo to you, Diesel? What brings you here?"

"It looks like he's... Meditating?"

"If so, it seems that New-Age poppycock has caught on with trains - which is unlikely. Perhaps he's waiting for someone? Or, thinking."

"I am not! I've been waiting here for hours, and no one has told me what I'm supposed to do!"

"Hm. Well, there's the yard manager coming now."

Toby was correct - The manager paced over.

"Hm.. Diesel - Take those coal trucks to Maron. Toby, take these empty wagons back to Elsbridge. Henry, after your filling, you may rest in the siding."

Diesel 10 rolled away to collect the trucks.

Meanwhile, Hatt had still not gotten word of all this, so he still thought of Diesel 10 as a "threat to the railway."

"Whatever happened to that disgraceful engine? He's here, then he's there, and now no one can find him. I will not allow him to try and scrap my engines again... as soon as I find him, he's going away for good."

Meanwhile, Henry had lined up under the coal hopper, and Toby was preparing to take his train

Meanwhile Diesel 10 was having trouble.

A lorry's load spilled onto a level crossing, and it was taking a while to reload. Pinchy rapidly clanked, which gave the lorry driver the right message.

Thomas had approached the other line of the crossing, which was open and went right along through.

Diesel 10 was still mad.

Toby sidled alongside Diesel 10 with his trucks and Henrietta.

"Good evening, Diesel! What is the matter?"

"This lorry has had an accident and is blocking my path!"
