KIWI: In terms of human artists, the still lifes of Juan Sánchez Cotán are always inspiring. In terms of food artists, Campbell's Tomato Soup is the one that got me into art in the beginning.

APPLE: Tomato identified as a vegetable. *sniff* Poor guy....
CHEESE: Etymologywise, tomatoes are closely related to berries. The difference is irrelevant now, but for the ancient Romaines, where there was a vegetable upper class and a fruit lower class, where they fit in caused a fair bit of consternation.

But you are aware that botanically, tomatoes are fruit?

CHEESE: Indeed. A berry, as a matter of fact. Some early ketchups were made with berries!

CHEESE: Excellent puns! Christianity never caught on among foods however, when it was discovered that the "last supper" wasn't the last, so the Swiss pun doesn't work as as well.

What do you think of candy?

APPLE: It really depends on the candy. Some of it is nice, but others- especially sour - don't make pleasant company. Dark chocolate is especially nice.
CUCUMBER: I use a candy cane to walk. He's quite friendly.
