The crane does minor work about the scene.

"I can't say." Said Toby's fireman.

*Toz, TGC, we'd love to see Thomas and Diana/Edward appear soon; by chance are you waiting for the right moment to appear?

Henry was brought up to steam the next day... but out of caution, the driver would not let Henry go faster than 20 MPH.

"If your brake is acting up, we can't take a chance." And so they began making their way to the works.

(Can't really think of anything...)

Diana was pulling some tankers when she saw Diesel 10 being put back on the rails. "So the diesels with limbs do exist!"

Diana was scared, so after delivering her train, she hid in a carriage shed instead of taking her next one.

Toby spies Diana.

"Hullo?"

"A diesel... with a claw!"

Diana was panicked. What was that thing?

(Who is Diana?)

Just then, an experienced mechanic saw Diesel 10.

"What are you doing?!" he said. "Can't you see that he only needs to be..." Then he took out his wrench, went under D10, twisted something, and Diesel 10 was delirious no longer.

"There, that should do it," said the mechanic.

Diesel 10 was unloaded. Then he saw Diana. (Again, who is she?)

*old engine, I think Toz based her on an unseen character in the railway series

OK.

A worker filled diesel 10 in on the situation

"In a nutshell, you're driver, PT Boomer, was found unconscious inside you, and has been brought to the hospital. Your relief driver should be here soon."  He explained

D10: He isn't my driver! I'm one of those engines that doesn't HAVE a driver! I run by myself!!

The worker was confused "but we found him in you.  Does he do something else?"

D10: Well, he wanted to get rid of Lady and Stone, (he was cut out of the movie), and he was probably meddling with my controls... which explains how my brakes didn't work!!

The worker had trouble believing it, but decided to move on.

"It would seem Diana is afraid of you... She's not used to engines with claws, you know."

"I am not! Engines with limbs are abominations! Unless they're crane arms. I could get along with an engine with a crane arm."

The workman began to slowly back away and go about his business; he didn't like where this was going

Diesel 10 (who was still making eyes at Diana) was now ready to get back to work.

Diana shuddered. She decided to stay there for a while until Diesel 10 was gone.

Meanwhile, Henry had finally made it to the works; he would finally have his brakes looked at.

"I hope we find out why they are stiff" he said

Diesel 10 was soon ready to leave. But before he left, he thought:

"I wonder what that Diana is like..."

Toby had returned to the bridge to assist with the construction. By now, The Big Dipper had nearly been completed.

"Hm.. it will be rather nice not to take the other route. This is such a scenic line.."

Just then, Diesel 10 crashed across the bridge.

The bridge cracked, and crumbled... and then a large section gave way!!

Toby shunts back to the siding near the bridge, saving Henrietta (Laden with workmen) and the crane - but the flatbed, piled with crates and machinery, tumbles down along with him.

"Well."

Just then, a man named William Shakespeare fell through.

"GAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Wait a minute! Shakespeare?!

Diesel 10 knew nothing of this...

Toby shunts forward with several workmen and the crane. The crane is lowered. Suddenly, Top Hat, OJ, and Big Mac arrive with a crane-boat down on the river - Diesel 10 having fallen into a barge tethered onto the small pier.

Toby inspects the scene.
"It's a shame this must happen to Diesel - Even with what he has done."

"It's a good thing that barge was empty" O.J. Observed. "Shame about this bridge though"
